it was a beautiful summer day in october, and i was under a tree taking a shot of some mushrooms when this sweet voice - from behind me - exclaimed, "there have never been mushrooms under there before!"
well i turn around to find this enchanting lady eyeing up those mushrooms and she went on to tell me that her father always said, "if you can peel them, you can eat them".
neither of us was willing to test that theory but we ended up having a nice chat.
seems Lily writes poetry for the community paper and she pointed me in the right direction where i could acquire a copy.
and in that paper i read Lily's poetry - thanksgiving - and in another column was an article about the very same Lily.
it turns out she's 91 years old!
nothings slowing her down and she was on her way after kindly consenting to a photo.
